A random sample of 10 airports is surveyed by sending trained interviewers to solicit reactions about air safety from passengers disembarking from arriving planes. I would like to know what kind of sampling this would be. For example, cluster sampling or stratified sampling.

this is cluster sampling. in stratified sampling, each stratum is unique in some sort of demographic or characteristic feature, which means you need to draw a sample from each stratum. the airport sampling is a classic example of cluster sampling in which the airports are different from each other, but they are chosen at random.
